Langa is a suburb in Cape Town. It was founded in 1927. Langa is one of the areas in South Africa that were chosen for Black Africans before the apartheid regime. It is the oldest of such area in South Africa and was the location of confrontation to apartheid. Langa is also where several people were killed on 21 March 1960 same day as the Sharpeville massacre, during the anti-pass campaign.
